"Snow Girl" scrapbook layout - Green Tara

Hi everyone!  We're well into May now, so of course I'm scrapping a picture about snow.  Now, you might think that flowers and snow don't go together - in which case, perhaps you haven't spent a lot of time in Canada in the spring.

I wanted to use these yummy Green Tara flowers and trims (they sent me a coordinated pack to have fun with), so I went looking for photos that worked with the colours, and turns out my daughter's snow suit was just the right thing!  Mix in a few snow flakes and winter papers, and why not flowers on a girlie snow page?  Precisely.

This cobweb trim is really growing on me - the more I use it, the more I like it.  The texture really makes me happy.  Here, you see it layered with some Wave Ribbon.

I twisted the sequin trim into flourishes, because why use just a straight line when you can have a curve?

You may notice a few of the petals flowers tucked in around my page.  Because these flowers are relatively flat (in comparison with some of the others), you can use them as layering elements, tucking them under the edge of photos and papers...

and using them to add a little more oomph to non-floral embellishments, like this snowflake.

Supplies (Green Tara):
flowers - Calla Lillies Cerise (FDV051Cer), Lilac Apple Blossoms 4cm (FDV044L), Cherry Blossoms Blue 3cm (FLC22B), mixed petals, Dusky Pink (P22DP)
ribbon - 15mm Double Sided Satin Ribbon Lavender (RB15Lav), Cobweb Fuschia (RB6772Fu), Wave Ribbon 2 Tone Pink/Purple (RB238PP)
trims - 6mm Opal Sequin Trim Lavender (RB524LO)

Other Supplies:
PP, chipboard letters, stickers - Bo Bunny
wood snowflakes - Maya Road
stickles - Ranger
marker - Faber-Castell PITT pen

Awesome page. I loved that paper collection. It looks great behind the snow photos of your little cutie.
Hopefully we won't get any more snow but here in the Maritimes I wouldn't rule it out! :D
Thanks for sharing! :)
