Cake - Scrap Attack Scrapbooking

Here's another layout I created for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking, using the "Hoopla" line by Glitz. This is a party themed line, so eventually I was going to use it for birthday pictures, right? :)

These clear stickers with the gems embedded are perfect for party pages. You can also see part of one of the Glitz "book pages" here. They really have the look and feel of book pages, but without the guilt of tearing up a vintage book. Gotta like that!

I received two sheets of this 'cake' paper, so I decided to have a little fun with it. I fussy cut the large cake image, and pop-dotted it on top of the one on my page. Then I went a little nuts decorating the cake. ;) Here you can see some of the Queen & Co 'ROX' gems.

I added a bow and fabric covered brad at the top, as well as a fluff of tulle. This is about as close to decorating a real cake as I intend to get.

I had a couple of gems left, so I dressed up my title.

9 mois - Scrap Attack Scrapbooking

This is my second layout this month for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. It mostly features the "Hoopla" line from Glitz, with a few other things thrown in for fun. I love it when papers from different manufacturers work well together. The background on this is from October Afternoon.

I wrapped a little tulle around the flowers, just for fun. I like the airy feeling it adds.

I stamped this image on a clear transparency, then added it to the layout afterward. This technique makes it easier to get a consistent image over different surfaces, such as this sticker and paper.

Supplies (available here from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking):
PP - October Afternoon, Lily Bee, Glitz
journal stickers, stamp - Glitz
letters - American Crafts
flowers - Prima Marketing
tulle - Bazzill

Other Supplies:
ink - Ranger, StazOn
marker - Sakura Identi-pen

Show Me - Scrap Attack Scrapbooking

Here is my February sketch for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. If you give it a try, please come on over and share it with us on the forum or on Facebook - I would love to see it!

I got to work with the "Hoopla" collection by Glitz this month, and it was a fun kit! The colours are fantastic.

These clear stickers have bling embedded right in them, as opposed to just glued on top. That means they will not fall off, and they are super easy to place.

The green bling are "ROX" by Queen & Co, and are a deliciously glittery gem, where the glitter is inside the resin, not on top. And you know how I like glitter to be well embedded! I could happily use these in every colour.

These gorgeous flowers are from Prima, and I had to hold myself back from using the whole package on one layout. ;)

The story, of course!

Supplies (available here at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking):
PP - Glitz, Echo Park
letters - American Crafts
bling stickers - Glitz
flowers - Prima Marketing
gems - Queen & Co

Other Supplies:
ink - Ranger
marker - Staedtler Triplus Fineliner

Where have I been?

Wow - my blog normally gets quiet in February, but this month was much quieter than intended. Everyone at my house (including me) has been sick for a couple weeks. We're starting to mend, and I'm catching up on things like blogging, so expect to see this place get back to normal soon!
