Smarty Pants

Here's another one of my November projects for Tattered Angels. It continues in the theme of incorporating wood into the project. You can see what the original colour of the wood laminate looked like on this scrap below:

You can see the grain much more easily once it has been sprayed with Glimmer Mist (and the mist is awesome on wood). Also in this shot - I used Glimmer Glam on the fabric-covered chipboard letters.

After die-cutting these leaves from the wood I stamped textures on them. The brown leaf was sprayed with "Coffee Shop" Glimmer Mist, and the green leaf also includes "Dirty Martini" Glimmer Glam.

Not only does wood take the mists beautifully - so does cork. The flourish is from the wood laminate again. I'm not so sure about cutting thin strips like this from the wood - it tends to curl when you mist it, and it gets tricky. The wider shapes are much easier to work with. (This was simply because the wood laminate was as thin as paper)

Of course, the story behind the title:

Supplies (Tattered Angels):
Glimmer Mist - Tattered Leather, Jack O'Lantern, Sugar Maple, Peppermint Stick, Caramel Apple, Coffee Shop
Glimmer Glam - Dirty Martini

stamps - Rockin' Renaissance Tattered Textures

Other Supplies:

awesome layouts and thanks for sharing that information as I am also a decorative painter so I can use some of the small wood pieces I already have and also maybe use it on some of my painting stuff too
