"i-dorable" - stitching through chipboard? Sure!

I made this layout sometime last summer, and it got picked up for publication (in Canadian Scrapbooker) before I had a chance to post it here.  But - it's been long enough since the issue came out, so I can post it now. 

I stamped some images on patterned paper, then fussy-cut the shapes.  Totally worth the extra effort - I liked it a lot better than if I had simply stamped on the background.

I think this was one of the first layouts where I started to really use the sewing machine much.  I figured if it could go through several layers of denim, then a little bit of chipboard should be a breeze.  It went pretty smoothly, actually.  Just go slowly, and use a denim or leather needle (not the regular general purpose needle).
