I did this layout for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking, combining some Paper Trunk "Rockabilly" with a Teresa Collins paper for the background. I was trying to get a black smudge around the paper with ink, and it just wasn't as dark as I wanted, so I pulled out some black paint, and voilĂ - just what I needed.
I like to use border punches to add little pops of colour here and there. They don't always need to be used on large swatches of paper.

It isn't always immediately obvious, but the Shimmerz paints have quite a lot of sparkle when you catch them in the light. I painted this border strip with Shimmerz in 'olive green'.

I used a Tim Holtz die cut to create my journaling block, and pop-dotted it for a little boost.

Supplies (available Here from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking):
PP - Teresa Collins, Paper Trunk
chipboard letters - American Crafts
clear stickers, ribbon - Adornit
paint - Shimmerz
white pen - Uniball Signo
other supplies:
paint - Deco art
ink - Ranger
black pen - Uniball Signo

Such a fun layout and cute picture JJ! I really like how you used the shimmerz, it adds a totally different effect to the paper.
