So Thankful - scrapbooking on burlap with Authentique and Canvas Corp

This week Authentique did a product swap with Canvas Corp, which means I got to play with some textured items that make my heart go pitter-pat.    Like this awesome burlap sheet, which turned out to be a perfect background for the Authentique "Thankful" collection.  The colours in this collection made me swoon.  (Now I'm itching to put more burlap together with Authentique - I love how the two textures work together!)

I started off by misting on the burlap with a stencil and Glimmer mist.  I glued the papers and photos together with Professional Acid Free glue, then glued the whole 'stack' to the burlap using Premium Craft Glue, to make sure it stuck well.   (I also ran a line of the Premium Craft Glue along the edge of the burlap sheet, on the backside, to prevent too much fraying).

I die-cut several leaves as embellishments; branches too.  Great way to use up smaller pieces of paper, and they add oomph without a lot of weight.  I glued these down with Helmar 450 Quick Dry - best thing for sticking to burlap!

That green mesh trim?  How could I not use it on this page - the texture is awesome, and the colour was perfect. (Yup - used 450 Quick Dry on that, too)

I die cut a lacy circle and used it to back one of the circle stickers.  Then I pop-dotted it with Zap Dots.

Thank you to Canvas Corp and May Arts for the goodies they sent to the Authentique team!
