This month Scrap Attack Scrapbooking sent me a package of these fun but large flowers. I love the look, but I found it tricky at first to find a way to fit it on my pages. I realized I would need to start with the photo and flower first - then add everything else. Did the trick!
I haven't used a lot of tulle on scrapbook pages, but it's fun to work with it. It adds dimension without weight, and can take a beating without getting smooshed. Here, I punched holes in the page with a crop-a-dile, and 'stitched' with the tulle, puffing it up a bit between holes.
After that light airy tulle was in place, the little spots between looked empty, so I placed pearls in those places.
Strip journaling is still one of my favorite ways to put words on a page. I can put it almost anywhere, without 'covering' too much of what's behind, as opposed to using a journaling block. Well, that plus the fact that the only time I can write in a straight line is when it's confined to a 3/8" strip. Ha!
