Springy Ride

Really enjoying the great colours in the new Lily Bee lines (this is from Happily Lost and Stationary). They are such happy colours! I combined them with a little Tim Holtz washi tape, and punched up the green with Doodlebug jewels. (I forget that I have these in my stash - I need to use them more often).

I coloured these wooden butterflies with Glimmer Mist (Viva Pink). I love mists on wood, as it allows you to still see the grain.

And the story behind the photos:

Supplies:
PP - Lily Bee
letters - Rose Moka
washi tape - Tim Holtz
jewels - Doodlebug
wood butterflies - Studio Calico
glimmer mist - Tattered Angels
ink - Ranger
marker - Faber-Castell

She Art canvas #1

Seems like half the people I know online have been taking the She Art classes from Christy Tomlinson. This comes as no huge surprise to me, as I have taken the classes myself, and thoroughly enjoyed them. She is a good teacher, and her style makes mixed media art very approachable. This is the first canvas I created, after following the course. (Oh, the size is 6"x12")
Mixed media is something that I've wanted to get into for about 10 years. Yup - I waited that long. I was that intimidated by it. It's something that I will be exploring further, so you will most likely see more of it mixed in here with the scrappy stuff. :)

Poser - Scrap Attack Scrapbooking

This is my final layout for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking (my term ended in April). Thank you Lauri for having me on the team - I've really enjoyed working with you and the rest of the designers.
I spritzed the background paper with a bit of "Tattered Leather" Glimmer mist, then brushed it on around the edges for a darker border. Here's a close-up of some tulle I wrapped around the page. The tulle adds an airy detail, and I love it.

These pearls/crystals/fimo flower combinations from Prima are so pretty!

These flowers started out orange, but I wanted a darker colour for this page, so I spritzed them with Glimmer Mist in "Sugar Plum Fairy", which had the side benefit of adding a little shimmer.

The story:

Supplies (available here from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking):

leaves - Zva Creative
flowers, pebbles, jewels, stickers - Prima Marketing
tulle - Bazzill
letters - American Crafts
Other supplies:

Say what? - Scrap Attack Scrapbooking

This is the fourth layout I created for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking in April. I loved these Prima papers - the colours are outstanding.
Lauri sent me a full package of the Zva Creative leaves, and they are a beautiful accent, even when not combined with flowers.

I didn't realize it until I received the package, but the bling with these Prima pebbles is not attached, so you can use it separate from the pebbles, giving a lot more options for placement.

I used one of the journaling spot stickers to back my title, which draws a little more attention to it, and makes it easier to read the dark letters.

Supplies (available here at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking):
PP, stickers, pebbles & jewels - Prima Marketing
letters - American Crafts
leaves - Zva Creative
Other Supplies:
ink - Ranger
white pen - Unibal Signo
marker - Faber-Castell
