New projects at A Shade of Blue
This month we got to work with paper versions of some of the yummy digital papers from Creative Dreams.
I used patterned papers from the "Vintage Blush" collection for this page about my Dad (wasn't he a handsome fella?). Another page I created with this kit is in my April 25th post.
Come check out what the rest of the scrapbooking team at A Shade of Blue has created with these great papers!

A Good Day
I feel so good today. The sun is out, I finally got a good night's sleep, and even though my stomach's still a little iffy today, I'm thoroughly enjoying my afternoon coffee.
Although I'm finding this pregnancy a little harder physically than last time (ok, a lot), I'm excited, and mentally energized.
I'll never be one of those women who loves being pregnant, but I feel good about it this time. I'm so happy to not be living with all the fears I had with Liam.
Today is a Good Day.

Spring (Finally)
Spring is finally here in full force. The wild (?) flowers that sprout in my yard have made their annual appearances, the tulips look ready to bloom any day now, and the trees have little buds, ready to show their greenery.
After a nearly record-breaking snow fall tally this winter, it seemed like the snow drifts would be here 'til August. Indeed - they have only completely left our property this past week, and the snow piles in parking lots all over the city still have snow. Spring in Montreal has seemed a long time coming this year, but it is beautiful and warm today. I hope we can enjoy a little more spring before summer hits us, because this is my favorite type of weather.

Finally feeling better
One Good Thing today is that I think I'm finally over the gastro. Ugh. That was rough. I’m looking forward to having coffee again!

Habs move on to second round
The Montreal Canadiens kicked the Bruins' butts tonight, and they move on to the second round of the hockey playoffs.
YAY! Guess I now need a Carey Price shirt.

On Sale!
One Good Thing today was that I found an awesome case for my laptop, and it was even on sale. I wanted a backpack style case, 'cause I knew it would be easier for me to carry. Can you believe I got a deal on one at Future Shop?

A Kiss from a Handsome Fella
Today I got my very first kiss from my son Liam. (He’ll be 3 in a month). Normally, when I ask him for a kiss, he leans over and presents his forehead so I can kiss him. (It’s pretty cute, actually). This morning, instead of presenting his forehead, he leaned in and planted a wet toddler kiss on my nose, with a big “Mwuah!”. Oh my - I was so happy I almost cried. It was the sweetest thing.

All Day Crop at Scrapbook Centrale
Today was the April All Day Crop at Scrapbook Centrale, and was the first all day crop at their new location. It was a fun day filled with good company, lots of food, and lots of laughs. I even won some cool prizes in the raffle - some things that I had either been planning to buy soon, or wanted to try. Gotta like that!

A Little Support Please?
I finally found a good bra. What a difference! Why is it that when you finally find a store that sells the one you need (and guys - it isn’t as easy as it sounds, finding the right bra), the store closes. *sigh* I was very happy to find a new one today. Like bad shoes, a bad bra can ruin your day. My day just got a lot better.

Studio 9
One Good Thing that happened today was that we were able to see one of André’s long time friends, Marc. Marc has a great comic & graphic novel shop called “Studio 9” (5835 rue Saint-Hubert, Montreal)
Due to the fact that his shop is at the other end of town from us (and necessitates a trip on the metropolitain), we don’t get there as often as we would like. But André had a nice visit with Marc today.
If you like comics and European graphic novels, check out Studio 9.

Big Girl Camera
Finally got my big girl camera. I’m so happy! I’ve been disappointed with the resolution of my ‘point and shoot’ for a while, and I really wanted to get back to using an SLR. Digital, of course, is the way to go these days, so I’m happy to have found the dSLR that suits me.
I’m looking forward to learning how to use it, and learning more about photography in general.
Today is also my baby sister’s birthday. Happy Birthday Rachel!

André's Birthday
Today is my husband’s birthday. Apparently now he should know the answer to the question of the meaning of Life, the Universe & Everything. (Douglas Adams fans Unite!). Happy Birthday André!
Due to André’s recent gum surgery, we couldn’t go out for some of his favourite crunchy foods for supper. But that didn’t certainly didn’t stop us from going to Rockaberry for desert! Yum!!
